ROSE K2/RIGID GAS PERMEABLE CONTACT LENS CARE AND MAINTENANCE

These contact lenses are created for daily wear and should be disinfected and cleaned daily.
• For cleaning purpose place the lens into the palm of your hand and put two or three drops of the multipurpose solution onto the lens. Now rub the lens gently with the little finger of your other hand for approximately thirty seconds. Also, rub the lens between your thumb and forefinger to get rid of any debris and remaining cleaning solution. Now rinse the lens with the multipurpose solution.
• Keep your fingernails short to avoid scratches/chipping of the lens edge.
• Lens insertion and removal should always be carried out over a clean, flat and dry surface to avoid lens or lens case contamination.
• Use multipurpose lens solution to rinse your lenses and case.
• Make sure to open only one cap of lens case at a time to avoid the exchange of lens into the eye.
• Use only the prescribed cleaning solutions recommended to you in the clinic.
• Care and maintenance aim to prevent and minimise contamination, reduce deposits and attain and maintain a ready-to-wear state of lenses.

Do’s:
• Always, wash and dry your hands fully before inserting or removing your lenses.
• Change the multipurpose solution in the case every time before removing the lens.
• Remember to clean and your lens after removing from the eye and then soak them in the multipurpose solution overnight. Also, follow the cleaning procedure in the morning before wearing them. This will help in removing debris and deposits from the contact lens surface.
• Always discuss with your practitioner before making any changes with lens, multipurpose solution or lens case.
• If you wear make-up than always remember to insert the lens first before makeup and while removing always remove the lens first then makeup.

Don’ts:
• Do not take a bath/shower with your lens in.
• Avoid swimming with the lens in.
• No sleeping with the lens.
• Never use tap water for rinsing of lens or lens case.
This is to avoid any type of lens contamination when water comes in contact with your contact lens.
